Radioactive mining waste in Mailuu-Suu, Kyrgyzstan

Mailuu-Suu, Kyrgyzstan is home to nearly 2 million cubic meters of radioactive mining waste, that threatens the entire Ferghana valley. One of the most fertile and densely populated areas in Central Asia that also experiences high rates of seismic activity.

We are students from Steindorf Steam School and our goal is to educate the public about the dangers of Pollution. We are holding a week of fun activities for kids to understand why pollution is bad and we will teach them some ways to help reduce pollution.
